VIDALIA — Services for Mattie Arrington Smith, 58, of Dillion, S.C., formerly of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, in Dillion, will be at 11 a.m. today at Triumph Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 26, 1952, in Natchez, the daughter of Robert and Tenner Arrington.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Robert and Addie Arrington and Prince and Kate Brown; three sisters, Dorothy A. Richardson, Rosie Arrington and Patricia Perkins; and one brother, Willie “Midget” Arrington.

Survivors include her husband, Archie Smith of Dillion; two sons, Kendrick Arrington and wife, Dondra, and Archie Smith Jr., all of Detroit; three sisters, Juanita Jackson and husband, Audley of Detroit, Linda Garrett and husband, Milton, of Huntsville, Ala. and Linda Marshall of Harvey, La.; one brother, Robert Arrington and wife, Rose, of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
