NATCHEZ — Services for Victoria G. Logan, 74, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.
Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Logan was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Hattiesburg, the daughter of Sam Ellzey and Luberta Wesley Ellzey.
She attended the Hattiesburg public school system and was employed as a cosmetologist. She was retired.
Mrs. Logan was a member of Union Baptist Church and served on the Mother Board.
She enjoyed attending church, traveling, shopping and family time.
Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willie Logan Sr.; her parents; one brother, Martinez “Sam” Ellzey; one aunt, Inez Herring of New Orleans; and two uncles, W.T. Harris of Illinois and W.T. Smith of Mobile, Ala.
Survivors include two daughters , Olga Denise Logan Potter and husband, Ernest, of Monroe, La., and Cheryl Diane Logan of Vidalia; three sons, Willie Logan Jr. of Las Vegas, Samuel F. Logan of St. Gabriel, La., and Terrance Logan of Vidalia; two sisters, Consuella Jacobs and her family of Baton Rouge and Lucille Herron and her family of East St. Louis, Ill.; a loving granddaughter and devoted caregiver, April D. Logan; special cousins, the Marsaw family of Vidalia and Texas and the Herring family of New Orleans; special friends, Emma January and Ella Mae Bruce of Natchez; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, friends and a very loving church family.
