NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Gladys H. Davis, 95, of Ferriday, formerly of Delhi, La., who died Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at Charlyn Nursing Home, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Natchez National Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Shreveport, La., the daughter of Sidney Henry Hetherwick and Gladys Augusta Swords Hetherwick.

She was Baptist.

Mrs. Davis was married to the love of her life, H.W. Davis Jr., May 17, 1945, until his death in 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two grandchildren, Courtney Suzanne Crum and infant Cooper; and one brother, Sidney Marion Hetherwick.

Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca Head and husband, Victor, of Monett, Mo., Jean Cooper and husband, Clayton, of Delhi and Barbara Crum and husband, Ronnie, of Ferriday; one brother, James Clarence Hetherwick of Alturas, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Steingraber, Nathan Head, Christy Arnold, Clay Cooper, Carl Cooper, Ryan Crum and Lindsey Crum; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
