HAMBURG — Services for Dorothy L. Floyd, 66, of McComb, who died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Cruell, the Rev. Carl Johnson, Dr. Estes Taplin, the Rev. Bobby Mitchell and the Rev. James E. Dorsey officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Catching Funeral Home in McComb.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Floyd was born March 25, 1944, in Redlick, the daughter of Johnny Dunbar and Martha Torrey Dunbar. She was a member of Jessamine Ridge Baptist Church in Lorman and an associate member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hamburg.
Mrs. Floyd was a retired clinic coordinator with the Mississippi Cancer Institute in McComb. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Floyd; three sons, Maurice A. Haley of Chicago, Dominic T. Haley and wife, Phyllis, of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Christopher L. Floyd of Rialto, Calif.; one daughter, Cassandra L. Floyd-Dade of Natchez; three grandchildren, Chyra L. Floyd, Derryl C.T. Dade and Demarco Washington; three brothers, Leo Dunbar, Johnnie Dunbar and wife, Rosie, and James E. Dunbar and companion, Chris; and one sister, Rose Dunbar Hammett and husband, Archie, all of Harriston.
