FERRIDAY — Services for Katie Marie Bryan, 83, of Youngsville, La., formerly of Acme, who died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, in Lafayette, La., will be 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Larry Wagoner officiating.

Burial will follow at the New Era Cemetery in New Era, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bryan was born May 1, 1932, in Olla, La., the daughter of Lloyd G. Knighten Sr. and Katie May Knighten.

She was a fun-loving, feisty and hardworking lady who loved reading, playing on her iPad, bowling when she was able and was an avid Louisiana State University fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Eugene Bryan; her parents; two brothers; and one grandchild, Hunter Bryan.

Survivors include one daughter, Debbie C. Harp and husband, Hal, of Youngsville; three sons, Ricky Bryan and wife, Rhnea, of Monterey, Joe Bryan and wife, Jackie, of Lake St. John and Ronnie Bryan and wife, Rhonda, of Monroe, La.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cory Martin, David Ray Scruggs, Jeremy Bryan, Phillip Bryan, Tyler Bryan and Dustin Trahan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Ray, Bo Trahan, Ricky Bryan, Joe Bryan, Ronnie Bryan and Smokey White.
