Editor’s Note: In 2019, the Circuit Court of Adams County dismissed and expunged the charges against Brennan T. O’Brien after he successfully completed the requirements of his pretrial intervention program. This legal resolution cleared all records of the indictment.
NATCHEZ — A Natchez dentist has been indicted on charges he stole equipment from a neighboring dentist.
Brennan Thomas O’Brien, 35, 113 Overton Road, was booked in the Adams County Jail this week on an indictment for grand larceny. He was released on a $7,500 bond.
The indictment stems from a January 2015 incident, in which reports at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office indicate dentist Bruce Scarborough contacted deputies about a theft from his business.
Video surveillance at the business showed a man Scarborough identified as O’Brien wearing a pair of gloves going into procedure rooms and removing items, the report indicates.
Scarborough and O’Brien shared a building but had separate offices.
An indictment means the grand jury has reviewed allegations and decided the matter needs a deeper look with a full trial on a given charge.
