CROSBY — Services for Grady Murray, 76, of Fayette, who died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Liberty Community Living Center in Liberty, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hopewell Methodist Church in Crosby with the Rev. Tobby Jones and the Rev. Joseph Weaver officiating.

Burial will follow at church cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Murray was born July 10, 1934, in Crosby, the son of Lucien Murray and Eunice Pritchard Murray.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Eunice Murray Lanham; and one brother, Gus O. Murray.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Murray; two stepsons, Mike Oaks of Fayette and Mark Patterson of Jackson; four brothers, John Murray and wife, Carol, of Yucaipa, Calif., Lucien Murray Jr. and wife, Linda, of Liberty, Rodney Murray Sr. and wife, Kathy, and Malcolm Murray and wife, Linda, all of Crosby; five sisters, Rose Odell and husband, Bill, of East Bend, N.C., Barbara Coleman and husband, Kenny, of Mount Pilot, N.C., Jackie Lambert and husband, Lester, of Liberty, Margie Murray of Crosby, and Debby Weaver and husband, Jeff, of Gloster; and a number of nieces, nephews and special friends at Liberty Community Living Center and Fayette.
