FERRIDAY — Services for Otis E. Ratcliff, 82, formerly of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, in Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Richard Cullum officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ratcliff was born Aug. 29, 1933, in Natchez, the son of Andy T. Ratcliff and Juanita Byrd Ratcliff.
He was retired from Riverland Medical Center after working as the chief engineer of facilities and maintenance. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He earned the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Presidential Unit Citation.
Mr. Ratcliff was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Marticia “Marty” Ratcliff Prioux; three grandsons, Dustin Ratcliff, Michael Wofford and Andy Slade; and two sisters, Dorothy Ratcliff and Marie Ratcliff.
Survivors include three sons, Stevie Ratcliff Ford of Oklahoma, Bruce Huber and wife, Tonya, of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Edwin Ratcliff and wife, Carla, of Vidalia; three daughters, Debbie Wofford of Washington state, Tammie Ramirez and husband, Jody, of College Station, Texas, and Kathy Whittington and husband, Scottie, of Vidalia; 18 grandchildren, Mandy Wofford, B.J. Huber, Jacob Huber, Janae Huber, Jordan Huber, Jared Huber, Larry “Red” Moreno, Megan Moreno, Sarah Moreno, Emily Moreno, Justin Prioux, Mia Prioux, Eric Guillot, Brittany Ainsworth, Emma Whittington, Joshua Ratcliff, Dalton Slade and Bryce Ratcliff; two sisters, Juanita Rutherford and Alma Huber of Summerville, Texas; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Josh Ratcliff, Scottie Whittington, Eric Guillot, Bryce Ratcliff, Cameron Ainsworth and Mike Freeman.
