VIDALIA — A former Vidalia man will spend three years behind bars for video voyeurism.
Donald M. Tarver, 37, 6530 Windy Drive, Pineville, La., was sentenced in Seventh Judicial District Court by Judge Harry Randow to three years in the Louisiana Department of Corrections without benefit of probation parole or suspension of sentence for video voyeurism.
Tarver was arrested in December after police said a woman found nude photos of a relative on Tarver’s phone.
Tarver reportedly told officers the phone was his and he knew the photos were on it.
He was also charged with domestic abuse battery and false imprisonment following an altercation with the woman after she refused to return the phone, police said at the time.
Tarver was sentenced to six months prison for the domestic abuse and false imprisonment charges, which are set to run concurrently.
Video voyerism has a potential prison penalty of one to five years and a fine of up to $10,000.
