FERRIDAY — Services for Naomi Muriel Johnson, 92, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Jigger, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson was born Dec. 17, 1923, in England, the daughter of George Henry Bartlett and Alice Ern Bartlett.

She was Baptist.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lofton M. Johnston; one brother; and one sister.

Survivors include two sons, Nigel Johnston and wife, Dianne, of Clayton and Mark Johnston and wife, Kristie, of Pineville, La.; two daughters, Teresa Peoples and husband, James, and Janet Short, all of Ferriday; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Chris Short, Corey Short, Junior Peoples, Paul Johnston, Nigel Johnston Jr. and Austin Peoples.
