The fire was reported between midnight and 12:30 a.m., and firefighters remained on scene until 4:30 a.m., Gibson said.

The fire appeared to have started in an unoccupied house at the corner of Beaumont Street and Pelican Court. The fire spread to a neighboring house, which was also unoccupied but under renovation.

No one was injured in the fire.

Firefighters from NFD’s central station as well as the No. 2, 3 and 4 stations and Adams County volunteer firefighters responded to the fire. Two trucks were used to fight the fire, and two were on stand by at the scene.
