NATCHEZ — Services for Claudine Fletcher Knight, 70, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at New London Healthcare Center in Snellville, Ga., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Searcy officiating.01:22 ClaudineFKnight obitpic

Burial will follow at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life service at 6 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Knight was born April 23, 1945, in Natchez, the daughter of Clarence and Clorine Fletcher.

She was educated through the Natchez-Adams County school system and continued her education at Copiah-Lincoln Community College and became a certified nursing assistant.

She was also a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church before joining New Hope, where she served faithfully.

Claudine enjoyed cookouts and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Knight Sr.; her parents; and three siblings, Helen “Dorothy” White, Samuel Fletcher and Clarence Fletcher Jr.

Survivors include three sons, Tony Fletcher and wife, Janice, Clyde Knight Jr. and wife, Linda, and John Knight and wife, Antoinette; five daughters, Cindy Bates and Peter Knight, Patricia Everett, Lashanda Fletcher-Hobson and husband, Darrell, Natasha Fletcher and Laura Bozeman and husband, James; 25 grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Thornburg and Minnie Baker; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
