NATCHEZ — Nicole Zema has joined the staff of The Natchez Democrat as features editor.

Zema will coordinate the weekly Style and Business sections, in addition to covering a variety of other stories.

Zema recently moved to Natchez from Carbon Hill, Ala., where she was working as managing editor of The Corridor Messenger, a newspaper she helped lead from its inception three years ago.

A native of Gadsden, Ala., Zema received a bachelor of arts degree in visual journalism from the University of Alabama in 2007.

Zema’s hobbies include photography, enjoying independent films and good food.
