FERRIDAY — A third Ferriday man was arrested Thursday in connection to a fatal Nov. 14 shooting.
Johnnie Lee Washington Jr., 24, 617 Georgia Ave., Ferriday, was charged with two counts of being principle to attempted second-degree murder and principle to second-degree murder. No bond was set as of Friday afternoon, Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Vernon Stevens said Friday.
Washington was allegedly in the car with Jaccari D. Burns, 17, 8618 U.S. 84 West, Ferriday, when Burns allegedly fired from the vehicle into the vehicle where Ladarius Wiggins, 23, of Clayton, was a passenger at the corner of Kentucky Avenue and 10th Street.
Wiggins died from the resulting injury. Two other people were with Wiggins in the vehicle at the time.
The shooting, Stevens said, is believed to be a result of an earlier altercation between Burns and someone in the other vehicle.
Burns was arrested in November, and was shortly followed by Treyon D. Green, 19, 808 Texas Ave., Ferriday, who was also allegedly in the suspect’s vehicle at the time of the shooting.
Stevens said the investigation is currently ongoing and additional charges may be made in the future.
Burns was charged with second-degree murder and two counts attempted second-degree murder. Burns’ bond was set at $450,000.
Green was charged with being principle to second-degree murder and principle to two counts of attempted second-degree murder.
Green’s bond was set at $300,000.
