NATCHEZ — Services for Edgar A. “Droopy” Brown, 81, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at his residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Stanton Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Purvis officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Church Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Brown was born March 2, 1934, in Amite County, the son of Edgar Brown and Addie Berryhill Brown.

He was a member of Stanton Baptist Church. He made every ACCS sporting event since 1979. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

He worked for Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company, Weeks Supply, Southern Pipe, and LCR Plumbing Supply.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Audrey Maher Brown; and one brother, Donald “Duck” Brown.

Survivors include three sons, Richard A. Brown of Natchez, Timothy L. Brown and wife, Suzanne, of Roxie and Russell W. Brown and wife, Charman, of Farmerville; six grandsons, Jacob, Zack, Brett, Cooper, Blake and Todd Brown; and three granddaughters, Meghan, Holly and Brie Brown.

Pallbearers will be Blake Brown, Todd Brown, Zack Brown, Jacob Brown, Brett Brown and Louis Calhoun.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stanton Baptist Church.
