NATCHEZ — Mayor Larry L. “Butch” Brown was reportedly hospitalized Friday for unknown reasons.

Sources say he was airlifted to a Jackson hospital. As of 10 p.m. Friday, St. Dominic’s Hospital listed a Larry Brown in care at its emergency room. It is unknown whether the patient listed is in fact the mayor.

Ward 1 Alderwoman Joyce Arceneaux-Mathis, who serves as mayor pro tem, said she had received word Brown was ill, but could not say whether seriously nor confirm Brown had been hospitalized.
