NEW ORLEANS — Services for David Ashton Smith, 22, of New Orleans, who died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, in Houston, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at My Redeemer Baptist Church in New Orleans with the Rev. Shateek Nobles officiating.

Burial will follow at Westhaven Memorial Park Cemetery in New Orleans under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Smith was born Sept. 20, 1993, in San Jose, Calif., the son of David Bell Jr. and Michelle R. Smith.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; one brother, Carnell Carter; three sisters, Hailey Thompson, Taylor Materre and DeJanee Bell, all of New Orleans; maternal grandparents, Willie Smith Sr. of New Orleans and Evelyn Smith of Gilbert, Ariz.; paternal grandmother, Dale Bell of Houston; four aunts; and five uncles.
