FERRIDAY — Services for Theodore Roosevelt Schiele, 84, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at his residence, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Schiele was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Frogmore, the son of Benjamin and Eliza Sena Schiele.

He was a retired oil field mechanic and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Schiele was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Alberta Washington Schiele; five sons, Darren Schiele of San Jose, Calif., Lonnie Stacker and wife, Corintha, of Selma, Texas, Theodore Schiele, Eric Schiele and wife, Terika, all of Baton Rouge, and Paul Schiele and wife, Rosalind, of Ferriday; five daughters, Linda Edwards and husband, L.J., Carla Washington, Shalonda Schiele and husband, Edmond, all of Ferriday, Suzette Boston and husband, John, of Austin, Texas, and Monique Jones of Dallas; three godchildren, Patricia Green, Netrina England and Buddy Rouse; his neighbor and good friend for more than 40 years, Cleveland Deleho of Ferriday; and a number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
