NATCHEZ — Services for Kirby Everett Carlock, 86, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at Merit Health Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

The graveside service will follow in Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Carlock was born Feb. 8, 1929, in Franklin County, to Hiram Sr. and Irene Rollins Carlock.

Mr. Carlock was a retired machinist from the International Paper Company in Natchez. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed carrying his grandchildren deer hunting. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hiram Carlock Jr. and Marvin Carlock; sisters, Maudie Golman and Ruth Hester; grandson, Mike Buckles; and son-in-law, Billy Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jewel Emfinger Carlock of Natchez; daughters, Patsy Hester, Diane Buckles and Judy Smith, all of Natchez; brother, Rufus Carlock and wife, Madelyn, of Mountain Home, Ark.; grandchildren, Russ Smith and wife, Kellie, Kimberly Smith Gray and husband, Calvin, Ben Buckles and Kristi Buckles; great-grandchildren, Chase and Cameron Buckles, Jonathan Gray, Brianna Gray and Samantha Smith; great-great-grandchild, Brantley; and a number of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Ray Carlock, Russ Smith, Calvin Gray, Chase Buckles, Jonathan Grey and Jason Carlock.
