Mr. Green was born Aug. 27, 1947, the son of Andrew James Green and Rosie Lee Hattix Green.
He was affectionately called “Sonny” by his family.
In his 68 years of life on this earth, Louis was a devoted family man, great friend and public servant. While a man of few words, he brought joy to all those who knew and loved him. Educated in the public schools of Jefferson County, Louis went on to dedicate himself to a career at home. He served the citizens of district one for 16 years, including a term as board president.
Those who knew and loved Louis described him as humble, kind, caring, righteous and upright. He was a protector, perfectionist and provider. The greatest names he loved to be called was son, husband, daddy, paw-paw, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Family was everything to him.
