JONESVILLE — Block High School’s three-game winning streak came to an end and their chances of winning the LHSAA District 3-1A championship took a big hit when they were upended by the Logansport Tigers 26-0 Friday night.
“We did absolutely nothing. Logansport’s a good team. We got took behind the woodshed,” Block interim head coach Bo Sproles said. “They did everything right and we didn’t do anything right.”
Logansport (5-4, 3-1) scored six points in each of the first two quarters to go into halftime up 12-0 on Block. The Tigers extended their lead with a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter.
“Defense kept us in the game. Offensively, we didn’t do anything. We couldn’t throw. We couldn’t pass. We couldn’t block. It is what it is,” Sproles said. “I don’t think we had 100 yards of offense.”
Block was actually held to just 87 yards of total offense. The Bears’ defense was led by Jacob Duncan and A.J. Barber, who each had an interception. Jayden Ivey-Sproles had five tackles and blocked an extra point.
