NATCHEZ — Services for Dell Grater Martin Sr., 79, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at Merit Health Natchez, will be noon Monday at Marshall Funeral Home Natchez Chapel with the Rev. Edward Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at the Watkins Street Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin was born April 8, 1936, in Waterproof, the son of Joseph Martin Sr. and Arato Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Emily Martin and Lee Helen Martin; one daughter, Jacqueline Martin; and four brothers, Fred, Lieutenant, Joseph Jr., and Earl Martin.

Survivors include one daughter, Jean Funches and husband, Altonia; two sons, Dell Martin Jr. and Edward Hardin; four grandchildren, Ronald Scott Sr., Quartreate Ware and husband, Jimmy, Aimee Johnson and husband, Tyrone, and Glendall Martin; six great-grandchildren, Keviana Banks, Aaliyah Hardin, Ayreana Scott, Aden Scott, Ian Scott and Emery Scott; one great-great-grandchild, Kace Isaac; three brothers, Willie Martin and wife, Dorothy, Jessie Martin and wife, Mandy, Nathaniel Martin and wife, Margie; two sisters, Hattie Banks and Mary Martin; two half-sisters, Exelina Humphries and Elnora Wiley; longtime companion, Mary Walker; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
