FERRIDAY — Services for Fredrick James Montgomery, 60, of New Orleans, formerly of Waterproof, who died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leroy Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Montgomery was born Dec. 18, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Willie and Ruthie Lee Johnson Montgomery. He was an auto mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include six brothers, Alonzo Montgomery and wife, Gwen, of New Orleans, Willie Montgomery Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Louisville, Ky., Edward Charles Montgomery of Waterproof, Joseph Don Montgomery and wife, Josephine, of Marksville, La., Amos Montgomery of Ferriday and Shelby Montgomery of Tennessee; six sisters, Betty M. Davis of Monroe, La., Ernestine Bellard and husband, Andrew, of Opelousas, La., Merle Honeywood of St. Joseph, Celia R. Montgomery of Conyers, Ga., Mary A. Montgomery of New Orleans and Delores Montgomery of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one aunt, Helen Watson and husband, Morgan, of Baker, La.; one uncle, Cornell Johnson and wife, Dorothy, of Gilbert, La.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
