NATCHEZ — At the recent winter board meeting of the Home Builders Association of Mississippi, the Natchez Chapter was awarded “Association of the Year” for associations with less than 50 members. This is the second year in a row that the Natchez Chapter was named “Association of the Year.”

Dick Thompson, who was president of the association for the two years, accepted the award.

The state board of directors elected Thompson to serve as District 4 Vice President. In this new position, he will oversee associations located in Vicksburg, Brookhaven, Hattiesburg, Laurel, McComb and Natchez.

Thompson, who is the owner of Thompson Tree and Spraying Service inc. DBA Live Oak Landscapes and Construction and has been active in the local home builders association for many years, said. “These awards and selections are helping to bring Natchez back to the forefront as a pace setter and an example to follow for other associations.”
