FERRIDAY — Services for Clarence Barber, 55, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at Ochsner Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. R.B. Turner officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Matthews Church Cemetery at Lake St. John in Ferriday under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Barber was born Oct. 1, 1960, in Ferriday, the son of James and Creola Barber.
He was employed by T.L. James Construction as a heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, James Barber Jr.
Survivors include his mother; seven sisters, Deloris Barber and Jennie Barber, all of Ferriday, Gladys Welsh and husband, Herbert, Frances Wilson and husband, Henderson, all of Marrero, La., Ella Alexander and husband, Jimmy L., of Columbus, S.C., Leola Grant and husband, Isaiah, of Orlando, Fla., and Alice Barber of Hawthorne, Calif.; one brother, William Barber and wife, Edna, of Ferriday; six aunts; two uncles; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
