NATCHEZ — Services for Freddie Lee Woods, 60, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Riley officiating.
Burial will follow with a private ceremony at the Mount Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Woods was born Jan. 5, 1955, in Natchez, the son of Robert Woods Sr. and Willie B. Woods.
He attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and was employed by the U.S. postal service as a postman. He also served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Woods was a member of St. Mark Baptist and a member of the Krewe of Janus. He enjoyed reading, hunting and sports.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tonya Woods and his father.
Survivors include his companion, Sylvia Buck; his mother; three sons, Ricardo Woods and wife, Tina, Reginald Woods and Ronald Woods; two brothers, Robert Woods Jr. and wife, Annice, and Willie E. Woods and wife, Chaimel Kahee; one sister, Sharon Woods; two granddaughters, Danielle and Morgan Woods; Krewe of Janus; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
