23 enter their names as candidates

Vidalia — Twenty-three candidates have entered their names for consideration as elected officials in Concordia Parish’s local races on the Oct. 24 ballot.
Qualifying of candidates will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today at the Concordia Parish Clerk of Court’s Office.
New candidates to qualify Wednesday included:
4Police Juror, District 1A — Carey Cook, Democrat
4Police Juror, District 2 — Willie Dunbar, Democrat
4Police Juror, District 3A — Russell G. Wagoner Sr., Republican
4Police Juror, District 3B — Cornell Lewis, independent
4Police Juror, District 4A — Cade Craft, Republican
4Police Juror, District 4B — Ray Cater, Democrat, and Jimmy Wilkinson, independent
Those who qualified Tuesday include:
4Sheriff — Kenneth Hedrick and Payne Scott, both independents.
4Clerk of Court — Clyde Ray Webber, Republican
4Tax Assessor — Jerry Clark, Democrat
4Coroner — Jim Graves, independent
4Police Juror, District 1A — Johnnie “Rip” Woodruff, Democrat
4Police Juror, District 1B — Joe “Bear” Parker, Democrat
4Police Juror, District 3A — Adam Probst, Republican, and Tim Welch, independent
4Police Juror, District 3B — Ronnie Harris, independent, and Whest Shirley, Republican
4Police Juror, District 4A — Jerry Beatty and Rodney Matthews, both Democrats
4Police Juror, District 4B — Daryle Price, independent
4Police Juror, District 5A — Jimmy Jernigan, Democrat
4Police Juror, District 5B — Tommy “Red” Tiffee, Democrat
At the state level, District 32 Sen. Neil Riser, District 34 Sen Francis Thompson and District 21 Rep. Andy Anders all qualified for re-election.
