Adams County Justice Court Cases

Week of Aug. 28-Sept. 3:

Roberta White pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace.

James Glenn charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Nicholas Felter pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. Felter pleaded guilty to malicious mischief.

Horace Pullins pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace.

 

Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Tuesday, Aug. 25:

Willie Herman Lewis pleaded guilty to Possession of a schedule II controlled substance, cocaine and felony fleeing (Count I) in Judge Johnson’s court. Sentenced to 16 years in the Mississippi Department of corrections for count I, with the last eight years of the sentence suspended, and five years of the remaining time shall be served on formal post-release supervision. Further sentenced to serve five years, to run concurrently, for Felony fleeing. Credit received for time served in the Adams County Sheriff’s jail. Must pay a fine of $350.00 to Natchez-Adams County Metro Narcotics, court costs and fees, and a $200.00 prosecution fee. As a result of the defendant’s guilty plea in the case at bar, the State has agreed to dismiss new charges arising against the defendant on June 9, 2015, being one count of possession of a Wwapon by a convicted felon and one count of felony fleeing.

 

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Monday, Aug. 31:

Kendrell Williams, 26, pleaded guilty to petit larceny. Sentenced to 30 days with 25 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve five days in jail. Fine set at $423 minus $73 credit. Must pay a fine of $350. Restitution set at $350 to be paid to Old South Winery.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 1:

Clarencia Luster, 31, charged with embezzlement/more than $500 (felony). Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Out on bond.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 2:

Terrace Bindon Sr., 53, charged with simple assault. Case remanded to files – victim unavailable – hospital.

Keith T. Matthews, 31, found guilty of malicious mischief. Sentenced to 48 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. No fine assessed. Restitution set at $1,139.44.

Ricky Ellis, 26, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve two days in jail. Fine set at $473 minus $200 paid on Sept. 2. Must pay remaining fine of $273.
