FERRIDAY — Services for Jennifer Marie Meredith, 58, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunflower Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Phaeon Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at the Garden of Rest Cemetery in Clayton under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Meredith was born Jan. 16, 1957, in Clayton, the daughter of Louis Bowman Sr. and Ruth Meredith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two children, LaMarc and Vernita Meredith.

Survivors include six brothers, Eddie Meridith and wife, Carmon, of Phoenix, Ariz., Herbert Washington and wife, Karen, of Monroe, La., Louis Bowman Jr., Tyrone Bowman, Robert Bowman and Lavone Bowman, all of Ferriday, 10 sisters, Rose Taylor and husband, Bobby, Carolyn Spurs and husband, Dave, Sandra Cauley, Ida Hampton, Sharon Bowman, Sharika Watson and husband, Sugar Ray, all of Ferriday, Geraldine James of Natchez, Shirley Coleman and husband, Eddie, of Vidalia, Delores Washington of New Orleans and Mary Ann White of New York; one granddaughter, Marquane Meredith; a special cousin, Linda Nixon, both of Clayton; and devoted companion, Jessie Butler of Ferriday.
