NATCHEZ — Services for Lillian “Frances” Davis, 77, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at Crown Health and Rehab of Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Ratcliff officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Skeen, the daughter of Herbert Herman Farmer and Loventrice Blankenship Farmer.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Natchez and an avid bowler. She was known as the greatest gift wrapper and as a tremendous cook. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play ball.

Mrs. Davis was very family oriented. She and her husband were married on Easter Sunday in 1960, and were together for more than 55 years.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Joseph Henry Sessions Davis; her mother-in-law, Alma Leola Davis; one daughter, Lillian Terraine Davis; her son, Joseph Herman Davis; and four brothers, Herbert Glendon Farmer Sr., Henry King Farmer Sr., Roy Farmer Sr., and Alan Keith Farmer Sr.

Survivors include her husband, William Frederick Davis Sr.; two sons, William F. Davis Jr. and his wife, Kimberly Hall Davis, of Clinton and Thomas Blake Davis of Natchez; one brother, William Ray Farmer Sr. of Roxie; two sisters, Carol Farmer Foster of Natchez and Lance Farmer Holmes of Deltona, Fla.; two grandchildren, Danielle Renee Davis of Terry and Sydney Paige Davis of Clinton; one great grandchild, Braxton Curtis Davis of Terry; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gary Farmer, Henry Farmer Jr., William Ray Farmer Jr., Blake Wade, Eddie Thompson and Glen Foster.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Ray Farmer Sr., Roy Farmer Jr., Jonathon Foster, Braxton Davis and Fran Farmer.
