NATCHEZ — Services for Josephine “Granny” White Tenner-Curtis, 84, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at her residence, will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Natchez chapel.
Mrs. Curtis was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Samuel White and Rosie Ware.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five sons, Johnny White, Grover, W.C., James Tenner and James White; one grandson, Emerick Henderson; two sisters, Beatrice Tenner and Rebecca Jones; and four brothers, Roscoe and Louis Levison, Jerry Ware and Roosevelt White.
Survivors include three daughters, Pearlina Hill and husband, Frank, Brenda Proby and Julie Boxley; one son, Cortez White and wife, Joann; 30 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Ola Mae Tenner; one special nephew, James Ware Jr. and wife, Tabatha; one special friend, Willie Mae Proby; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
