NATCHEZ — Services for P.G.M. Claudia Williams Quinn, 78, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanford Cruel officiating.
Burial will follow at the church.
A wake service will be held today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until service time at the church.
Ms. Quinn was born Oct. 12, 1936 in Adams County to Elmore Sr. and Lizzie Dromgoole Williams.
She was a member of Adah Grand Chapter, Edna Anderson #11, Pinkie Jackson Amaranth Court #1, Ida Postlewaite Court, Herions of Jericho, Past Marion Council, Alcoran Court 1 Daughters of Sphinx, Good Samaritan and the Linwood Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph R. Quinn, one brother, Percy Williams, two nephews, Calude Tyrone and Keith Williams and one niece, Tammie Yvette Christmas.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Claudia E Hickombottom, a loving step-son, Joseph Charles Sanders and wife, Veronica, one sister, Mary “Wease” Morris, one brother, Elmore Williams Jr., two grandchildren, Patrice Hickombottom and Brian Hickombottom, six great-grandchildren, a special nephew, Von Williams, a special friend, Ornsby L. Young and a host of step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
