HARRISONBURG, La. — Services for Jamie Wayne Corkern Sr., 29, of Harrisonburg, La., who died Friday, July 17, 2015, from injuries sustained in an auto accident, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Pentecostal Church in Harrisonburg.

Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Corkern was born Aug. 19, 1985, in Pontotoc, the son of David Corkern and Willa Miller Sexton.

He was a carpenter.

Mr. Corkern was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Amber Stewart Corkern; three children, Jamie Jr., Hershel and Destany Corkern, all of Harrisonburg; his mother and her husband, Bobbie, of Derma; three sisters; a number of brothers and stepbrothers; four aunts; and four uncles.
