NATCHEZ — Services for Glinda Gail Collier, 69, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dillon Wickliffe officiating.
Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Mrs. Collier was born Aug. 22, 1945, in Delhi, La., the daughter of Clinton B. Blackwell and Annie Sue Moreland Blackwell.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Collier was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Collier; her parents; one brother, Douglas Hathaway; two sisters, Mary Jewel Blackwell and Opal McGuire; and one grandson, Sean Cloy.
Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Cloy and husband, Tommy, of Natchez; one grandson, Cade Cloy of Natchez; two great-grandchildren, Alee Cloy and Parker Cloy, both of Natchez; two brothers, Roy Blackwell and wife, Rose, and Michael Blackwell and wife, Susan, all of Natchez; two sisters, Carolyn Thorpe and husband, James, and Janice Hayles and husband, Bobby, all of Natchez; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chris Franks, Bobby Hayles, Butch Thorpe, Garrett Thorpe, Robert Franks, and Danny Veade.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Thorpe, Ronnie Thompson, and Donnie Thompson.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. L.E. England, Compassus Hospice, niece, Krystal Conerly FNP-C, and great- niece, Jennifer Truett.
