Five arrested on drugs, weapon charges

Wildsville — Five people were arrested this week after narcotics agents allegedly found them in possession of 13.57 ounces of marijuana, three handguns, two rifles, two stolen four-wheelers and a stolen lawnmower.
Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Vernon Stevens said the arrests happened Monday after sheriff’s deputies saw someone riding a four-wheeler on the highway on U.S. 84.
After pursuing the rider to a residence at 14465 U.S. 84 in Wildsville, where several people were in possession of marijuana.
In addition to the drugs and stolen items, a search of the area reportedly found digital scales, several boxes of Ziploc baggies and $381 in cash.
Those arrested following the search included:
-Jalen R. Clay, 20, 276 Wildsville Road, Wildsville, on charges of off-road vehicle violation (authorization for use of the shoulder), careless operation, possession of schedule I substance with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and carrying of weapons in possession of controlled substance.
-Derrionte Jefferson, 17, 115 Oak St., Ridgecrest, on charges of possession of schedule I with intent, carrying of weapons while in possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property.
-Henry Jefferson Jr., 21, 14465 U.S. 84, Ferriday, on charges of possession of schedule I with intent, carrying of weapons while in possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property.
-Gary C. Willis Jr., 24, 198 Harbor Road, Ferriday, on charges of disturbing the peace, possession of schedule I with intent, carrying of weapons while in possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property.
-Reondrick Lewis, 21, 200 Kyle Road, No. 35, Ferriday, on charges of resisting an officer, carrying of weapons while in possession of controlled substance, possession of schedule I substance with intent, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and introduction of contraband into a penal institute.
