WILDSVILLE, La. — Memorial services for Donald Joseph Glynn, 78, of Wildsville, La., who died Monday, June 15, 2015, in Wildsville, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Evangeline Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Smith and the Rev. Dennis Baker officiating.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Mr. Glynn was born Jan. 14, 1937, in New Iberia, La., the son of Patrick Glynn and Liza Walker Glynn.
He was a member Evangeline Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Glynn was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bettye Scott Glynn; five brothers, James Glynn, Patrick Glynn Jr., Harold Glynn, Charles Glynn and Carleton Glynn; and four sisters, Josephine Glynn, Mae Glynn Kristof, Mable Glynn Stirwalt and Louise Glynn Aucoin.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Glynn; one son, Paul Glynn and wife, Michele Danna Glynn, of Murray, Ky.; four grandchildren, Tyler Glynn, Peyton Glynn, Haley Glynn and Rachel Glynn; three brothers, Howard Glynn, Gerald Glynn and Tommy Glynn; and four sisters, Melba Glynn Dartez, Doris Glynn Musemeche, Mary Alice Glynn and Barbara Glynn Richard.
