NATCHEZ — Next Monday and Tuesday Beau Pré Country Club will host the Gulf States Junior PGA Championship.

“Kids will be coming from all over Mississippi and Louisiana,” said Beau Pré golf professional Carey Witten. “We will have age groups from 12-and-under all the way up to 18-under.”

Witten said he anticipates the field will be relatively small.

“It should be a small group with about 20-30 players,” Witten said.

The tournament is open to players 18 and under as of June 3, 2015 and residents of Louisiana or Mississippi.

Registration for the tournament closes Friday at 11:59 p.m.

There is also a $165 entry fee for all groups except for 12 and under, which is $125.

Witten said the event is 36 holes, stroke play.
