NATCHEZ — Services for Robert E. “Knob” Hargrave Sr., 42, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, May 24, 2015, from injuries sustained in an auto accident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Martin Luther King Road, with the Rev. Earnest Ford Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mercy Seat Baptist Church Cemetery in Sibley under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be at 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Hargrave was born March 14, 1972, in Natchez, the son of Eddie Hargrave Jr. and Gloria Turner Harris.
He was a truck driver.
Mr. Hargrave was a 1992 graduate of Vidalia High School and attended Southern University.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul F. Turner and Eddie Hargrave III; one sister, Margaret Jackson; grandparents, Eddie and Julia Hargrave, Florida Turner, Maeola Turner and Zerlia Thomas; father-in-law, Samuel Brown III; two uncles; and one nephew.
Survivors include his wife, Shelrecker Brown Hargrave; his father and wife, Doris, of Vidalia; his mother of Natchez; four children, Robert Hargrave Jr., and Kennadi Hargrave of Ferriday, Zion Hargrave of Houston and Detrique Sims of Natchez; two sisters, Gloria McKnight and husband, Calvin, and Jamie Lewis and husband, Overton, all of Natchez; two brothers, Mizell Noble and wife, Naila, of Natchez and Edwin Hargrave of Vidalia; five uncles; 13 aunts; two brothers-in-law; mother-in-law, Lucy Brown of Ferriday; maternal grandfather, Willie Turner of Ferriday; grandmother, Thelma Noble of Natchez; godson, Zavier Davis of Ridgecrest; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
