Best in tourism honored Tuesday

NATCHEZ — Those who have aided the cause of tourism in Natchez and Adams County will be honored on Tuesday night.
The Natchez Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Natchez-Adams County Chamber’s Tourism Council will sponsor the annual tourism awards and reception. This year’s event is at the Natchez Convention and Visitors Bureau, 640 S. Canal, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
One out of five people residing in Natchez and Adams County are employed in the travel and tourism industry.
“It also directly employs 2,275 people and travel and expenditures by visitors were over $108,000,” in the last year, said Debbie Hudson, president and CEO of the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce.
