JENA, La. — Services for Donald Lawrence, 77, of Jonesville, who died Monday, May 11, 2015, will be at 10 a.m. today at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Ganey officiating. Music will be provided by Jeanine Reeves and Brad Cockerham.
Burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery in Jena under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.
Mr. Lawrence was born March 19, 1938, in Parhams, La., the son of James Dellahousaye “Dell” Lawrence and Bertha Mae Thompson Lawrence.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was also a forester for a number of years, working for Fisher Lumber Company and USDA/NRCS.
Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanda Lawrence Gunn.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Geraldine McMillin Lawrence; one son, Greg Lawrence of Ruston, La.; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Reggie Gunn of Shreveport, La., Donald McMillin of Aimwell, La., Gilbert McMillian and wife, Linda of Monterey, and Vickie Brooks and husband, Billy, of Pineville, La.
Pallbearers will be Bronson Morgan, Jason McMillin, Jesse McCaughey, Shane McCaughey, Joe Shively and Wayne Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Mills, Curtis Murray, Layton Streveck, Don Parkman and Eric Brooks.
