FERRIDAY — Services for Melba Rae Nolan Beatty, 75, of Ferriday, who died Monday, May 11, 2015, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Ferriday Church of God with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lewis Family Cemetery in Clayton under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beatty was born Dec. 11, 1939, in West Monroe, La., the daughter of Jake Pulliver Nolan and Mary Marie Jones Nolan.

She was a member of the Ferriday Church of God.

Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Beatty; her parents; two stepsons, Paul L. Beatty and Tommy Beatty; two sisters, Marine Hines and Jean Thorton; and one great-granddaughter, Paisley Melton.

Survivors include two sons, Timmy Beatty Sr. and wife, Andrea, of Vidalia and Jerry Beatty and wife, Amanda, of Ferriday; one sister, Marilyn Finkbeiner; three grandsons, Timmy Beatty Jr., Liam Beatty and Jacob Beatty; seven granddaughters, Heather Danielle Steed, Taylor Nichole Beatty, Cadance Beatty, Rachael Beatty, Rebecca Beatty, Celena Beatty and Kaylee Bastian; and two great-grandchildren, David YellowEagle and McKinley Steed.

Pallbearers will be Mark Phillips, Allen Dossett, Terry Crochet, Joe Parker, Bobby Allen Sr. and William McKeel.
