JONESVILLE — A Catahoula Parish man is behind bars for an alleged sexual assault.

The Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit — Alexandria Field Office arrested Justin Codey Ingram, 27, of Jonesville on a charge of simple rape Thursday.

He was booked into the Catahoula Parish jail.

According to an LSP spokesman, the special victim’s unit received information from the Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office about the simple rape of a juvenile.

An arrest warrant for Ingram was issued after the complaint was investigated and the victim was interviewed, according to the spokesman.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the LSP has requested anyone who has information about Ingram to contact investigators at 318-484-2154.
