Lipscomb said the victim didn’t know her whereabouts but was able to call authorities with her cell phone following the incident.
Lipscomb said deputies soon found her in the field where she said she had been sexually assaulted.
The victim was taken to Riverland Medical Center where authorities ran a sexual assault evidence collection kit, Lipscomb said.
He said the victim was in stable condition and was released from the hospital shortly after midnight Thursday morning.
The investigation is ongoing and a person of interest has been questioned.
