Bill Cosby, General Wesley Clark, Michael Jordan, President Clinton, Sen. George Mitchell, Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, Brad Pitt, and so on!
What do all of these people, and millions more throughout America, have in common?
They are not only outstanding, successful leaders in their fields, they are also all alumni of Boys & Girls Clubs of America!
While many club alumni have achieved particular distinction in fields such as entertainment, business, politics and sports, the average alumnus is not famous.
Most have achieved success by getting an education, raising a family, serving their country, pursuing a career or supporting the community.
Since 2002, the Boys & Girls Club of the Miss-Lou has provided a safe place for kids — all kids — to learn and grow through a wide variety of educational, recreational, cultural and social programs, year-round.
This week, the Boys & Girls Club of the Miss-Lou is “going for the green.”
The beautiful greens of Beau Pré Country Club will be the site for the Seventh Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser today with registration and lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Shotgun start for the 3-man scramble is 1 p.m. You don’t want to miss a chance to win the hole in one prize — a beautiful Dodge truck donated by Heritage Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep!
And if you’re not a golfer, you can still share some “green”!
Your generous support will help the Boys & Girls Club continue to put the interests of children and families in the Miss-Lou on the “front burner.” You will know you are helping to support crucial after-school and summer programs. Most important of all, your donations will make a significant and lasting impact on the health, strength, hope, and future of children, families and the entire community.
