KIRBY — Services for Berdie Mae Washington, 73, of Meadville, who died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Kirby with the Rev. Joseph Logan officiating.
Burial will follow at the Hunt Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Washington was born Dec. 10, 1941, in Franklin County, the daughter of Hardy Washington and Alice Hunt.
She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and served on the mother board.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy O’Quinn and husband, the Rev. Rickey O’Quinn, of Bude and Latrina Durr and husband, Morris, of Brookhaven; two sons, Terry Washington of Meadville and Roderick Termaine Washington of Vicksburg; three sisters, Rosie Fox of Meadville, Mary Fleming of Jackson and Felicia Williams of Bunkley; three brothers, Leroy King of Meadville, Ulysses Hines of Hattiesburg and Catrell Fleming of Natchez; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; special friends, Dorothy Mae Cameron, Minnie Pearl Wilson, Ann Hunt and Grace Sanxton; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
