NATCHEZ — Services for Evelyn Blankenstein Kaiser Hughes, 82, of Tupelo, formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Tupelo, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Mary Basilica, with the Rev. David O’Conner officiating.
Burial will follow in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hughes was born June 15, 1932, in Natchez, the daughter of Loyd Andrew Kaiser and Evelyn Frances Blankenstein Kaiser.
She was a member of St. Mary Basilica.
Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William G. Hughes; four brothers, Lloyd Kaiser, Sheldon Kaiser, Edward Wise Kaiser and Kenneth Kaiser; and one sister, Leona Dawes.
Survivors include one son, William Hughes and wife, Kristin, of Roundhill, Va.; two daughters, Sarah Hamilton and husband, Noah, of Tupelo and Rachel Accilli and husband, Steve, of Cornwall, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren, Catherine, Emily, Hugh and Jack Hamilton, Hannah Accilli, Billy, Jack, Alec, Henry and Grey Hughes; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Paul Dawes, Karl Kaiser, Andy Kaiser, Blair McKinley, Noah Hamilton and Steve Accilli.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America.
