VIDALIA — Services for Louise “Madea” King Yearby, 87, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Star Light Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Leroy Brown officiating.
Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be at 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Yearby was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Vidalia, the daughter of John and Mary Woods King.
She attended Star Light Baptist Church.
Mrs. Yearby leaves footprints of precious memories within the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Yearby Sr.; one son, Frank Jr.; two brothers, Israel and Clarence King; one grandson, Charles Turner; and one nephew, Clarence King Jr.
Survivors include four sons, Willie “Bill” Yearby and wife, Marie, Leslie Yearby and Johnnie Yearby, all of Vidalia, and Charles Yearby and wife, Sharon, of Ferriday; one sister-in-law, Bertha King of Vidalia; 10 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
