NATCHEZ — Funeral services for John David Petty, 48, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 11, 2015, will be at 2 p.m. today at Carmel Faithway Baptist Church on 85 Carmel Church Road off of Kingston Road.

Burial will follow at 5 p.m. at the Petty Family Cemetery in Summit under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Petty was born Feb. 11, 1967, in Delhi, La., the son of Robert David Petty and Barbara Sue Jones Petty.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors included his mother; brother, Gary Wayne Petty; sister, Amanda Sue Petty; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Charles Jones, Chris Leingfelt, Brad O’Linde, Joseph Hayles and Gary Petty.
