DOLOROSO — Services for Celesley Wilson, 83, of Fairbanks, Alaska, formerly of Woodville, who died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Doloroso with the Rev. Murlon Webb officiating.

Burial with full military honors will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 28, 1931, in Woodville, the son of Major and Mammie McDonald Wilson.

He was a retired engineer from the U.S. Army with 24 years of service, including tours of duty during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Celesley Wilson Jr.; two brothers, Sam Wilson and wife, Thelma, of Kenner, La., and Odell Wilson of Hammond, La.; four sisters, Ruby Jones of Centreville, Mamie Lee and husband, Sam, of Los Angeles, Ollie Jones of Lake Los Angeles and Major Certain and husband, Alphonse, of Oxen Hill, Md., and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
