FAYETTE — Graveside services for Donald Clarence Geoghegan Sr., 93, who died Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Fayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Purvis officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg.

Mr. Geoghegan was born Feb. 24, 1922, in Jefferson County, the son of Claude Stewart Geoghegan and Rennie Vaughan Geoghegan.

He was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County.

During World War II, he served in Europe during a number of battles and received a number of awards. He was an active member of Stanton Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Donald C. Geoghegan Jr. and wife, Karen, of Port Gibson; two sisters, Rennie Geoghegan of Natchez and Lydia Magee of Brookhaven; two grandchildren, Donna Brady of Lorman and Richard Geoghegan of Ridgeland; and four great-grandchildren.
